Development of Smart Sensors for Health Monitoring in Urban Air Quality

This is a week to submit the FYP1 report and also submit the blogspot that have been doing since week 1 until week 17. I have double check my report before i submit it to the supervisor. After that, i have print all the report from Chapter 1 until Chapter 3 that has been checked by my supervisor Dr. Ahmad Sabry.

The report is carried 35% of marks and the blogspot is carried 30% marks which contribute 65% marks of FYP1 that not included my presentation on week 13 which is 35% marks. I hope with all the effort that i have put in this project will give me a good grade and will motivate me to do a better work in FYP 2.

On this week, i have compiled all the report in one set which is Chapter 1 Introduction, Chapter 2 Literature Review and Chapter 3 Methodology. I also do some correction of words and also add some figures to complete the report of FYP1.

Addition in FYP1 Report
1) Table Of Contents
2) Acknowledgment
3) Abstract
4) References

After i have do all the report, i have shown to my supervisor to check if there is any mistake and he very satisfied with my work and can be submit on the Week 17.

I also have bought some equipment that can be used on my FYP2 such as Arduino Uno

On the previous week, I have do some upgrading which are to add some level meter and also use a MQ135 gas sensor. In this week, i have add some idea to increase my features in my project.UPGRADING FEATURESI have thinking of add some features which is i am using wifi module for arduino and also Blynk. The function of Blynk is an Internet of Things platform with a drag-n-drop mobile application builder that allows to visualize sensor data and control electronics remotely in the mobile phone.

The function of wifi module is to connect Arduino to the internet by adding ESP8266 WiFi Module.
The ESP8266 Wifi module is a complete WiFi network where it can easily connect as a serving Wi- Fi adapter, wireless internet access interface to any microcontroller based design on its simple connectivity through Serial Communication or UART interface.
What is the process?
There are a lot of ways to use ESP866 for communication. Some may use it to send / receive data online or regularly upload data.
ESP8266 will serve as Access Point (AP Mode), meaning it will provide access to Wi-Fi network to other devices (stations) and connects them further to a wired network
The process it pretty simple. Use the phone to send any command to Arduino. With the help of ESP8266, everything will work wirelessly.

Last week was a presentation week which is we present our proposal of project. So , in this week i have do some correction and upgrading my project that has been suggested by the assessor.

Comment of the assessor :-
1) Do some level meter to determine the air pollution level.
2) Do some research if there are some air humidity that can been disrupted my collection of result.
3) Add some more features to the project to make it can be used by the authorities to see the air pollution in the city.

After all the comment, I have discuss to with my lecturer to upgrading my project so we have been agreed to add some features which is we put some level meter on the project to see the level of air pollution in the city. We also agreed to use MQ135 sensor as electrochemical sensor that can triggered some gas in the city.

By this week, it is a presentation of my proposal to the assessor. Before the presentation on the Wednesday, I have doing some correction to my slide presentation which are included in my flow chart, block diagram and gantt chart.

After do some correction, I have go to see my supervisor to check it for the last time before the presentation. He is very satisfied with all the work in the slides because i have followed all the instructions that he gave on last week.

PRESENTATION

On the presentation time, i get a table number 10. I have been assessed by Dr. Mohammad Noor and Dr. Gan Hong Seng. The presentation is going smoothly and followed by its planned. The Q&A session between me and the assessor also going well. The presentation takes about 30 minutes and all alhamdullilah i have go through without any problem.

In this week, all the FYP1 students have attended the last meeting with the coordinator of the subject which are Dr. Marwangi and Dr.Imran at TTL1. This meeting is regarding of a how to get ready to do a presentation that will be held on Week 13.

There are some contains that must have in the slide presentation : -
—Project Background
—Problem Statement
—Objective
—Scope and Limitation
—Literature Review
—Block Diagram
—Flow Chart
—Gantt Chart
—Expected Result
—Conclusion

—Estimated Price Project
After the meeting, i have do the slide presentation that the coordinator want it, then i have shown my slide to my supervisor. He has add some important features to my slides which can help to increase my marks when presentation. He also satisfied with my works that im doing currently because i always go to see him almost every week to check my work.
